Emily & Aaron
Aaron and I both grew up in Central Oregon. Aaron spent time at my house growing up playing with Corley (my older brother) and having sleepovers and of course, I was the annoying little sister bugging them.
Aaron graduated from Oregon State in Construction Engineering management along with my brother Corley who graduated in Civil Engineering in spring of 2001. It was at this ceremony where my cousin, Katie, caught me looking at Aaron and told me I was someday going to marry him! Well.....Ive gotta say, Katie was right!
Aaron and I started dating at Oregon State in November of 2002 after Aaron invited me to the annual Theta Chi barn dance! He whisked me off my feet with his country swing dancing from day one!
I graduated in spring of 2005 from OSU in Nutrition and have since gone to medical school. I will be graduating from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2010.
In our time together, Aaron and I have been on many memorable adventures and done tons of traveling. Weve been on camping trips, a few backpacking trips, vacations to California, the San Juan Islands, and a trip to Vegas. We were fortunate to visit Quito, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in the summer of 2005. In the summer of 2006 we sailed around the most beautiful place in the world, the French Polynesian Islands. Our most recent trip to Cancun Mexico in March of 2008 was one of the best, being the place Aaron proposed to me. There is nothing like laying in a hammock together on the beach at the Caribbean and being asked to spend the rest of your life with your best friend, the one you love and share all your secrets with. Aaron and I have spent quite a bit of traveling time on planes just trying to see each other while we have lived across the country from one another. These all add up to more stories such as getting stuck oh so many times in multiple airports. We can't wait for our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic!
These adventures are very exciting, but more importantly it is the small moments that make us laugh each and every day, wanting to walk in the door and be in each others' arms after work, and the support we have for one another that makes us look forward to spending a lifetime together. We are so thankful to have everyone as a part of our lives and to share all our memories with.
